It never let me to complete check in online, super annoying.
Anything you do takes you to the Air Canada website. There is no on app experience.
Need the option to see flight prices on adjacent dates without having to go back a screen to change dates
Someone at Air Canada IT is afraid of getting layoff and decided to use weird font. Just bring old font back, your new font is not good.
As a long time loyal AC customer with 75K status once again, I am absolutely appalled at the level of service as of late. Recently had a bag damaged, it’s been several weeks and still no reply from my claim. Now just on a recent flight (yesterday), was told by the FA when I asked to order a drink, that I needed to go to the galley to purchase a drink. This is a first for me and I can’t believe that this is what I was instructed to do. Also, filed a complaint…come on AC. Get it together!

How difficult is it to make your seat map work during the checkin process? Pretty amazing that this critical component of the checkin is overlooked.
The app and website won’t accept the 6- digit verification codes sent by email. So login is impossible. This after Air Canada website was glitching and I had to redo and finish the reservation by phone. In the process Air Canada triple charged by credit card. After this flight I’ll likely never use this airline again.
Please allow users of older phone to use your app.
Please build a native iOS app - this check in experience is terrible - the UX so bad and every time I think I’m closing a window I start over. The pain just to select a seat is awful. The jumps out to the web so slow. Just go look at United app for what good looks like.
As frequent traveler who carries a balance in AC wallet, it is really quite annoying to have to constantly authenticate each time. I’ve been told this is to protect my wallet. I carry balances with other US based airlines and don’t have to waste all this time with these verification codes.
Its a very confusing app and website. I cant navigate well and I cant find my boarding pass. Its hidden and not well laid out.
New customer and looking to book an international trip next year. Warning to users: they are charging more in app vs on the Air Canada website. Same exact flights $300 more in the app. Haven’t seen this before in my other airline apps.
I love that it notifies me of where my bags are in the process, it’s easy to navigate and easy on the eyes due to dark colors. Love the app and so far the airline has been good too.
Garbage airline and garbage app.
So frustrating that the app is not working correctly to buy tickets or upgrades.
I liked knowing my baggage was on board
A countdown or flight information widget would be very helpful.

After reading most of the reviews beforehand, I was quite skeptical, but I had absolutely no issues with this company. They were quick, efficient, and very friendly.
Best airline I have flown. Their staff, service, plane, comfort were the best. I definitely will use Air Canada for future trips.
I have been using the app for a while and it works beautifully. It’s a lot more responsive than the website. All the information is presented in a much more better and concise fashion.
The app works well, but there is one glitch that in some cases renders part of the utility if the app unusable. Our flight was delayed by 40 min., and the delay was known at least 14 hours before the flight. OK, no problem. Delays happen, glad to get advanced notice. Just plan to arrive at the airport a little later. The problem is that all the notifications remain tied to the original scheduled flight time. They weren’t adjusted for the known delay. So once there was a delays, the notifications became moot.
Works ok, but it’s missing core features: multi-city searches, e-upgrade availability, fares on adjacent dates when running a search. It’s especially bad for e-upgrades — you can’t search for them in the app (or even by browser on a phone), so you have to have a desktop or laptop computer available. Huge hassle, especially while traveling!

Hit or miss that the App finds my Trip with the Booking Conformation code and Name. Flight status for some trips also “We’re sorry for the trouble. An unexpected error”
New AC app minimum is iOS 16. My travel phone iPhone 7 plus can’t update to iOS 16. AC app is disabled until updated🤬 deleted AC app and can’t reinstall. AC not supporting common devices in the wild, only drives clients away.. Hello United, WestJet and Delta😅 Their apps run no problem on iOS 15.8.3👍
I have an American home address. The app will not accept the address to build an account. Customer service will not help at all and was told I have to go to the counter to check in which makes this app useless. The help I received from customer service makes my decision to fly with someone else very easy!
The website refuses to take our payment after many attempts and Reddit suggested to use the app. Unfortunately the app doesn’t support booking for infants :(
Been delayed twice and for someone that doesn’t like to fly, an email stating that the craft has mechanical issues only makes your anxiety level increase. My first time flying with you guys and probably my last, not impressed.
If I can ever get customer service to answer the phone, then book a flight using a travel voucher (can’t do it online) I will hopefully never have to book with this incompetent airline ever again
I had to use the Lufthansa app to keep track of my trip because the Air Canada app wasn’t updating the flights after delays and gate changes in the connecting flights. It’s extremely easy to miss a flight if you go solely by this app’s information. It also doesn’t give you boarding passes for some of the connections.
How an international airline doesn’t allow multi-destination via the app (only on the website) is astounding. Makes the app nearly unusable.
Air Canada’s gave me the worst experience ever. Constant delays in different airports, preventing me to get to and from my destination on time not cooperative or empathetic with passengers. Rude employees when it comes to a finding accommodation and giving out information that will comfort there passengers, explaining the situation when flights are constantly being redirected or haven’t mechanical issues in a timely manner, staff tears up our luggage and loses it and does not. have a system other than a computer no personal contact that forces you to file a complaint via electronic devices and some people are not able to have access to a computer or cell phone or android. I will not ever fly on Air Canada again.
Flight delayed, carry on bag taken and checked even though it fit in the test thing and there was space in the over heads, baggage claim delayed an hour. Overall horrible, will not fly with them again
Wow ! You guys set the bar for customer service and hospitality . My first time flying air Canada a few days ago and it was such a pleasant and relaxing experience. Highly recommend !
Impossible to log in. Requires sign in every time I use the app and then doesn’t recognize my password. Then it prompts me to change my password each time, and launches the website from within the app, which causes endless cookie warning pop ups. Then when i finally change password, it emails me and tells me my account is deactivated. I have yet to successfully use either the app or my aeroplan account, and I only signed up a little over a month ago and have already flown 3 times on Air Canada. I end up using my lap top to get my boarding pass, save it as a pdf and email it to myself. USELESS.
For those of us who still enjoy I phones from 5 years ago, we will not be able to fly on Air Canada. Your app update requires an IOS 16.0 or higher which means we are forced to buy new phones because Apple will not download the updated IOS into older models. ( 7 plus) Apple is trying to coerce older customers to spend 1500$ or more on a 15 Pro etc. I refuse. Nice knowing you Air Canada.
this head would be lost if it didnt stay attached to these shoulders needless to say for someone like me, this app is pretty cool! they give you consistent reminders and flight updates like gate changes, when boarding is starting, etc. i also love that they paste a picture of your boarding pass onto the lock screen for easy access super dope love it 10/10
Air Canada get your act together, costumer service is terrible and I can’t book a flight without something going wrong!

We had our first flight experience with Air Canada from DTW to Athens. They were friendly, timely and excellent communicators. They even upgraded a portion of our group, which was a blessing!
There is NO reason that an airline app should be almost 400 MB, making it the second largest app on my phone. Other airline apps with similar functionality manage to come in at a significantly smaller size. Get it together, Air Canada!
Updating my review… I’ve flown Air Canada for decades and when I travel now, this app makes everything easier including check in, boarding pass, flight status, baggage tracking, and alerts. It’s really a joy to use. The only issue I had was checking the flight status of family members using the same URL that works on the Air Canada website. The developers responded and the issue had already been in their queue and is now in the latest release. Upgrading to 5 stars - this app is excellent!
They gotta do smth with with system glitch. This happened several times to me already when I see and award flight and when I go to book it, it’s no longer available. When i rerun the search it’s there again. I’ve moved so many points to aircanada and i can’t even use them because of this issue. Phone reps couldn’t do anything anything except to say “oh it was a false availability”.
