Terrible, inconvenient, and slow
If an airline is aware that Apple phones cant download the app onboard, then they should tell you to download it at the gate PRIOR to boarding. The stewardess tried to tell me that it was a rights issue with Apple, but my husband was also unable to download the app both before we took off and while in flight. She told me Apple phones could only watch tv shows, but that didnt work either. Then they passed out preloaded IPADS (ahem, Apple products) for $10 in case you couldnt download the app inflight. This was all orchestrated so that Air Canada could make money. I will never fly this airline again. 7 hours from Dublin to Toronto without reliable in flight entertainment? Pathetic. Its 2015, guys.
