Was ok now useless!

It used to be a pretty good app but has been broken for months. Constant error messages... have reported it with screenshots 3 times but still not fixed!!!! Sucky

Terrible!!!

The app just gives out "communication error" messages every time you try to find your booking, let alone using this for checking in. This app makes me believe that land phone or paper is still more reliable in the 21 century, sad.

Session expires every minute

It is taking more than half an hour to check-in online for a flight. The session keeps expiring. Useless app overall if it doesnt simplify the basic feature of online check-in.

App does not work to book a flight

This app does not work to book a flight. I get "communication error". I deleted and re-installed the app twice. Tried with WIFI and without WIFI (cell data) but still the same problem. Also, the new BETA website is useless. As a million mile SE loyal customer, it is frustrating to see that I cant purchase a ticket. AC should make it so easy and smooth for anyone to buy tickets. Many developing nations flag carrier airliners do a lot better than AC in this regard. Common AC, you can do better. FIX this simple IT issue !!

Notifications update needed!

This app needs better notifications of flights. My flight was delayed 4 times, would have been nice to know before I came to the airport. Granted, the weather is bad and I should have checked, but the app hasnt even updated any of the delays yet. Id call this a service failure.

Someone screwed up?

Was really good. New update crashes before start up. Disappointing. AC charges enough; they should have good IT people.

Deserves no stars!

This app is crap! Ive never been able to check in using it! Ever! What is the point of having it? Other airlines have working apps; hire them to help you fix this junk!

Its been 2 years. Wheres the resolution upgrade?

As a Million Mile, Super Elite 100K Air Canada Altitude frequent flyer, consider me disappointed in this app from the airline that I fly twice weekly with from YYZ-CDG return. Seriously. iPhone 6 & 6 Plus launched in 2014. Its now 2016 and theres been two subsequent iPhone launches and STILL Air Canada hasnt updated this app for resolution above iPhone 5 series, meaning that it appears zoomed when opened on any iPhone 6 or later, and on iPhone 6 Plus, 6s Plus, and 7 Plus it is just horrendously awful. Get with it guys, its a clunky and ugly app to use. Sure, features are there, I like the ability to book/checkin/load my boarding pass in Wallet, but the ugly resolution is just garbage. Consider me disappointed from one of the most frequent flyers in your network.

Always disappointed

App works ok. Customer service is aweful.... Dont understand how they can mess up every flight i take with them (2-8 per year). If it wasnt for using aeroplan miles, me and the majority of people I know wouldnt use this disorganized service.

Worst app by any airline

Compare app to Delta, United and even westjet. This app is garbage. you cant refine results and it looks like it hasnt been updated in 4 years, if not longer.

Could be better

One would expect a much better product fro Air Canada

iWatch App Failure

iWatch was great at letting me know when it was time to check in. It is the only thing it does. Has an option to check in but only says to use my phone. Functionality does not go beyond this. Thankfully the boarding pass can be saved to the apple wallet and access on the iWatch from there.

Poorly made

The app is poorly organized and it is difficult to find exactly what you are looking for within the app. In addition, this app is far less extensive and offers far fewer features than its airline counterparts.

No wallet/passes feature

One expects an airlines iOS app to allow you to store a scannable boarding pass in Wallet after you check in... Why prints boarding passes?! I might as well go to a kiosk for that "service"...

Go with paper

Almost useless app. The ac designers decided in a vacuum what works and came up with this mess. Use the website, print paper and go back 10 years. I use multiple airline apps and this is the worst.

I travel often and use multiple flight carriers and mobile apps. It appears that the Air Canada desktop and mobile version are not synced so reservations created on the desktop version do not appear on the mobile version. How is this even something usable for the average traveler?

Not Surprised - just look @ website

I am frequent traveler, Im also an avid app user. I recently had to book and AC flight for cost and non-stop, not bc I wanted to. I booked online and had a terrible user experience, so I thought Id download the app and see if it was any better. Wrong. Why do I have to enter personal information into the app if I have an "Aeroplan" account? and why cant you provide me a list of past and upcoming flights? I shouldnt have to enter my destination city to check-in... You have my account info, you should know where Im flying today. If you dont have resources to spend on creating a great experience on web and mobile, maybe you just pick one and make it awesome instead of having two bad experiences. The error messages hardly make sense either... I was asked for my "AC Mobile number" and then received and error that I gave the wrong email? Huh. Anyways, the good news is you can only go up from here.
